Lorraine
has been drawing and painting a variety of subjects in varied
mediums since she was a young child in Connecticut, where
she found great inspiration in her scenic surroundings.
From farms to flower gardens to the abundant wildlife, she
was sparked by the colors and moved by the richness of everything
around her, and aspired to share her exhilaration through
her artworks.
"My goal is to not only reflect the world around me, but
to also convey the passion I feel for my subjects
through my
work."
Largely a self-taught artist, she recently
has studied with a number of locally and nationally known
artists in classes and workshops.
In addition to Studio 1212, she is currently
a member of the Creative Artist Guild, PAVA, the International
Society of Acrylic Painters - Florida, the Dunedin Fine
Arts Center, and the Florida Watercolor Society. She
displays her award winning art at shows and venues in Florida,
Georgia and Connecticut, and her pieces are in private collections
throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Lorraine's original oil, acrylic, and watercolor
paintings, giclees, prints and note cards are available
for sale through her website or by contacting her directly.
